Legal and export restrictions
Who may use Axis-Points, which businesses may not, and the export controls that apply.

United States only
Axis-Points is offered only within the United States. Both businesses and consumers must reside in the United States to sign up and use the platform, and participating businesses must have a physical place of business in the United States.
We do not offer the service in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or any other jurisdiction outside the United States. Our systems and data are located in the United States. The platform is not designed for, and does not claim compliance with, the GDPR or other non-U.S. privacy frameworks.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. The service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Export control and sanctions
The Axis-Points platform is web-based software hosted in the United States and is not exported, downloaded as a distributable product, or made available for use outside the United States.
You may not access or use the platform if you are located in, ordinarily resident in, or organized under the laws of any country or region subject to comprehensive United States sanctions, or if you are listed on any U.S. government restricted-party list, including the Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons List maintained by the Office of Foreign Assets Control, the Denied Persons List, or the Entity List.
You may not use the platform in violation of United States export control law, including the Export Administration Regulations, and you may not re-export or otherwise make it available to any restricted party or prohibited destination. We may suspend or close any account we believe is in breach of this section.
Businesses that may not participate
These categories are excluded, and the exclusions are not waived case by case:
- Businesses providing in-person healthcare, including medical, dental, mental health, reproductive health, pharmacy, and substance use treatment
- Firearms, ammunition, tobacco, vaping products, and cannabis
- Adult content or services
- Gambling, lottery, and sports betting
- Payday and title lending, debt collection, credit repair, and check cashing
- Multi-level marketing and pyramid schemes
- Cryptocurrency exchanges and related financial products
- Any business whose participation would breach applicable law or our payment processor’s terms
The healthcare exclusion exists because several states prohibit drawing a virtual perimeter around a healthcare facility for the purpose of identifying, tracking, or messaging people near it. Rather than manage that risk case by case, we keep healthcare providers off a location-triggered platform entirely.
Points are not money
Loyalty points issued through Axis-Points are a promotional benefit. They have no cash value, are not redeemable for cash, and are not a gift card, stored value, deposit, security, or currency. They may not be sold, transferred, assigned, or exchanged. They are void where prohibited by law.
Axis-Points does not hold, transmit, or settle funds between businesses. When a customer redeems points earned at one shop at a partner shop, the platform records the redemption and nothing more — no obligation is calculated between the two businesses and no money moves through us. The only payment Axis-Points ever collects is a business’s own subscription fee.
Governing law
These restrictions and your use of the platform are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. See the terms of service for venue and dispute resolution.
